About Andrna’ Christopher (She/Her)
Andrna’ Christopher - Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), I’m committed to providing wholesome, quality care. Specializing in anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, depressive disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and trauma- and stressor-related disorders, I offer evidence-based, family-centered treatment. I believe that clients and their families should have their voices heard in healthcare settings and thus center my practice around the values of community, collaboration, and respect.
My Background In Mental Healthcare
Quality mental healthcare has become increasingly important to me—especially as I encountered some major losses during adolescence and other critical points in life. Working through the grief I experienced in adolescence was challenging, as I was a teenager still figuring out my identity. My firsthand experiences inspired me to work with others amidst difficult periods of life, so I decided to pursue a career as a mental health provider. I’ve worked in several settings as a psychiatric nurse and then as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. I’ve had the honor of improving client outcomes and providing care, dignity, and empathy.
Though my education and training were rigorous, being a provider is more than just a profession—it’s a passion. I truly love what I do and could not imagine myself in any other role.
The Populations I Work With
My treatment focuses are:
Upon realizing just how prevalent these conditions are, I became inspired to hone my skills in these specific areas. I recognize that mental health symptoms affect all different kinds of people across racial, cultural, and socioeconomic lines. However, the impact of symptoms varies from person to person, often presenting in ways that aren’t always obvious.
In addition to recognizing the impact of “invisible” mental health wounds, I also became interested in accessibility and support. Not every community has access to safe, culturally aware mental healthcare, so I was inspired to create a practice where clients from all backgrounds could feel comfortable receiving the treatment they need and deserve.
What To Expect When We Are Working Together
My main goal as a provider is to be a safe and trustworthy support for those who are struggling with mental health symptoms. I truly enjoy helping others, continuously striving to create an open atmosphere where clients can share their experiences openly and honestly. My gentle, warm demeanor contributes to a collaborative therapeutic process during which clients can genuinely feel advocated for and taken care of.
While counseling techniques and behavioral skills may be incorporated into treatment, my primary focus is on psychiatric medication management. I am committed to finding the right medications and dosages for my clients based on their history and symptoms so they can experience meaningful and lasting relief.
When I’m Not At Work…
Outside of the treatment space, my family is extremely important to me. I have two children, which allows me to relate to clients who are fellow parents—I certainly know what it’s like to function on little sleep and experience the mental health effects of this major transition!
I also care deeply about the environment. I’ve been known to pick litter up off the street, demonstrating my commitment to keeping our beautiful community clean. Being part of the Pacific Northwest has helped me discover an affinity for nature, and I really love going on walks in my spare time.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Practice
Sessions are conducted primarily online via telehealth. If you are interested in meeting with a provider in-person, please contact our office at (207) 316-2609 to discuss availability for in-person sessions.
In general, we accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield (Anthem, Premera, Regence, etc.), Cigna, PacificSource, and Providence. That said, the insurances our providers work with can vary from provider to provider. To learn what insurances a provider accepts, please visit their About page or contact our office at (207) 316-2609. In addition, we recommend that you check with your insurance company prior to initiating services to ensure we are in-network and to determine your patient responsibility for sessions. If at any time we discover we are not in-network with your insurance, you will be responsible for the full costs of all sessions (past and future).
We do not accept Medicaid and Medicare.
We do not work with EAPs.
In addition to the accepted insurances listed above, our services are available to self-pay clients and those with out-of-network benefits.
For individuals using insurance to cover appointments, the cost of appointments is determined by each insurance’s contracted rates with our organization. Thus, the cost of appointments may be notably different than the cost of appointments for individuals who are self-pay. Furthermore, the cost of appointments may vary from session to session depending on several factors to include the length of the appointment and the complexity of the appointment. If you plan to use insurance, our office can provide a better estimate of costs once you provide your insurance information. Please contact us at (207) 316-2609 if you require further assistance.
For individuals who are self-pay:
Rates vary depending on type of service (therapy vs. medication management) and length of session. Please contact our office for additional information.
Payments are completed through our patient portal. Payments can be made using major credit/debit cards (American Express, Visa, Mastercard, etc.) as well as FSAs and HSAs.
Our policy is to collect payments before rendering services. However, we cannot always predict the cost of sessions in advance because services and length of sessions may vary from appointment to appointment. For clients using insurance, you will likely be responsible for either a co-pay or for paying the full costs of sessions until your deductible is met. Please ensure you fully understand your insurance benefits to prevent future billing concerns.
Regardless of your insurance status and payment method, we will always be as up-front with you as possible about the cost of treatment.
I am not accepting new clients at this time. While our organization currently has no availability for clients interested in medication management services, we have therapists with openings for therapy and counseling. To schedule an intake assessment with one of our therapists, please visit our scheduling page.
Clients must cancel or reschedule appointments at least 48 hours before their appointment. If appointments are not canceled or rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice, or if clients do not show to their appointment, they will be charged a late cancellation fee of $150. To ensure we treat all clients consistently and ethically and to be respectful of our providers’ time, we must enforce our late cancellation and no-show policy. Fees incurred for late cancellations and no shows are out-of-pockets expenses. They cannot be billed to insurance.
