You Don’t Have to Carry Stories That Were Never Yours
You may be noticing a quiet awareness that something in your life deserves attention. Maybe it’s the echo of past experiences or trauma that still shows up in your relationships or your sense of safety. Maybe intimacy feels complicated, trust feels fragile, or your relationship with your body or desire has been shaped by messages that never truly reflected who you are.
You might appear steady on the outside while holding questions, tension, or memories that haven’t had room to breathe in a while. That can impact the way you experience closeness, connection, or yourself. Whatever brought you here, I want to offer you a place to slow down and listen to what your inner world has been asking for.
Therapy That Honors Your Voice and Your Pace
I’m glad you’ve taken this step for yourself, even if it’s just pausing to see what support feels possible.
I like to see our time together as a collaborative process where your lived experience matters, particularly as we explore how past experiences continue to shape intimacy, connection, and self-understanding. You really are the expert on your life, and my role is to walk alongside you with care, curiosity, and steady support as we make sense of what you’re carrying together.
I can promise you won’t be rushed, ever. We’ll pay attention to what feels important, a little stuck, or ready to be explored further, knowing that deeper work around trauma, intimacy, or sexuality unfolds best when there’s enough safety to slow down. That sense of safety is something we build in partnership, and I’m here to help you experience what that can feel like in your body and nervous system.
Even if you’re unsure, guarded, or still trying to figure out what would feel most supportive in therapy, taking that first step to reach out and open yourself to a new level of care is an incredible thing.
What It’s Like to Work Together
You can lean on me to show up as a real, authentic, and highly engaged human who genuinely wants you to feel seen. My style is relaxed and relational. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, listen closely, and reflect back your strengths, even when they’re harder for you to recognize in yourself.
I’ll also gently point out patterns, particularly those that may have helped you survive or stay protected in the past but no longer feel aligned with the way you want to experience connection, closeness, or yourself now. At times, I may invite you to pause and check in with what’s happening in your body, emotions, or thoughts, especially as they relate to safety, desire, or boundaries. These invitations are always optional, and we move at a pace that feels respectful and attuned to you.
There’s room in our work for depth, honesty, and complexity without judgment, as well as moments of lightness or humor when they naturally arise. Therapy together feels grounding, reflective, and deeply human rather than clinical or overwhelming. If that resonates, I’d love to meet you.
Who I Support
I am passionate about supporting those who are curious about exploring trauma, intimacy, and sexual wellness as pathways to knowing themselves more fully. Many of the people I support have felt misunderstood, silenced, or pressured to live according to expectations that left little room for their full humanity. Therapy is your space to slow down, listen inward, and make sense of how past experiences continue to shape connection, safety, and self-worth.
You might be:
- Living with the lasting imprint of trauma
- Navigating questions around intimacy or sexual wellness
- Reconsidering beliefs about your body, identity, or worth
- Working to rebuild self-esteem
- Untangling experiences that have shaped how safe connection feels
- Wanting to understand yourself with greater compassion
A core focus of my work is sex therapy, where my approach is grounded in understanding how your experiences, body, and nervous system shape the way you connect. Sex and intimacy can feel confusing or overwhelming when messages from culture, family, or past experiences leave you questioning your needs or boundaries.
Therapy together is never about performance or “fixing” anything; instead, we’ll move at a pace that honors your comfort and readiness, creating space for curiosity, clarity, and deeper self-understanding.
A Bit About Me
Before I became a therapist, I submerged myself into advocacy work for individuals impacted by intimate partner violence and sexual assault. It was in those moments, sitting with people through some of their most painful experiences, that taught me how heavy trauma of any type can be. More importantly, I saw how powerful it is when someone finally has the space they feel safe enough in to tell their story in their own way.
Growing up in the Florida panhandle, where conversations about mental health and sexuality were often quiet, uncomfortable, or shaped by shame, fueled my curiosity to do something more and touch lives in a way that was so needed and continues to be. Those early experiences deeply influence the way I show up in my work today, and my fierce drive to help more people unlearn narratives that limit how safe they feel in their bodies and relationships.
As a queer woman, I completely understand what it’s like to experience the ongoing complexities of identity, belonging, and safety. For anyone of any gender or sexuality, I’m able to attune to what isn’t always spoken outloud and support you in a way that helps you reconnect to your voice, autonomy, and self-trust, especially around intimacy and self-expression.
A quote that resonates with me is “You’re on the path, you don’t need to know where it leads, just follow.” – Deputy Hawk, Twin Peaks
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oregon State University and have completed advanced training in EMDR and holistic sex therapy. My approach is relational, trauma-informed, somatic, and mindfulness-based, which allows us to work with both emotional experience and the wisdom of your body.
When I’m not wearing my therapist hat, you can find me indulging in my passions and self-care activities that help me feel recharged and connected to myself in the same way I try to encourage those I’m working with. That can look like baking, dancing, caring for my pets, traveling, and collecting small, meaningful objects that make everyday life feel a little more personal.
These expressions of creativity, play, and connection matter to me, and they often find their way into how I show up as a therapist, too.
If You’re Considering Therapy
I completely understand how big a step starting therapy can feel, and for some of you, it may be your first time or a switch you’re making after an experience that made it hard to trust or feel understood. That’s why you never need certainty, answers, or prep work to reach out to me, just a sense that something could feel different and openness to the process.
If any of this lands with you, I would love to schedule an intake assessment with you. All you have to do is find a time and day that works well using the calendar below.
This initial conversation is all about what’s been weighing on you and what you’re hoping for, while I gain an understanding of the pace that feels right for you and share more about what you can expect in our therapy sessions.
If you have questions before scheduling, our team is here to help any time. Feel free to call our office at (207) 316-2609 or reach out through our contact form.
When you’re ready, I’d be honored to stand beside you through it all.

For individuals using insurance to cover appointments, the cost of appointments is determined by each insurance’s contracted rates with our organization. Thus, the cost of appointments may be notably different than the cost of appointments for individuals who are self-pay. Furthermore, the cost of appointments may vary from session to session depending on several factors to include the length of the appointment and the complexity of the appointment. If you plan to use insurance, our office can provide a better estimate of costs once you provide your insurance information. Please contact us at (207) 316-2609 if you require further assistance.
- For individuals who are self-pay:
- Rates vary depending on type of service (therapy vs. medication management) and length of session. Please contact our office for additional information.
Payments are completed through our patient portal. Payments can be made using major credit/debit cards (American Express, Visa, Mastercard, etc.) as well as FSAs and HSAs.
Our policy is to collect payments before rendering services. However, we cannot always predict the cost of sessions in advance because services and length of sessions may vary from appointment to appointment. For clients using insurance, you will likely be responsible for either a co-pay or for paying the full costs of sessions until your deductible is met. Please ensure you fully understand your insurance benefits to prevent future billing concerns.
Regardless of your insurance status and payment method, we will always be as up-front with you as possible about the cost of treatment.
- The online scheduler above shows my availability over the next 20 days. If no appointments are available, please check back in a few days.
- For appointments beyond this 20-day window, you can return closer to your preferred appointment date. Alternatively, you can view availability for our other therapists here.
Clients must cancel or reschedule appointments at least 48 hours before their appointment. If appointments are not canceled or rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice, or if clients do not show to their appointment, they will be charged a late cancellation fee of $150. To ensure we treat all clients consistently and ethically and to be respectful of our providers’ time, we must enforce our late cancellation and no-show policy. Fees incurred for late cancellations and no shows are out-of-pockets expenses. They cannot be billed to insurance.
